FedEx Simulator

Module: ULD and Truck Loading & Scanning

Classroom Training Modules

Focus purely on building a solid foundation. Using uniform 80 in³ cubes, you'll learn to maximize net volume and reach capacity targets faster.

The 1.5" low-profile challenge. These white FedEx boxes require precision stacking to prevent "chimneys" and maintain a level load face.

Master the art of spatial reasoning by managing both cubes and rectangles. Perfect for learning how to bridge gaps and "lock" rows.

Critical Loading Standards

These standards apply throughout the simulation and reflect
expected dock practices.

  • 1. Safety First Inspect ULD or trailer for damage before loading. Maintain three points of contact when entering or exiting. Lift with legs and keep loads within the Power Zone.
  • 2. Scanning & Data Integrity Scan every package. Ensure labels remain visible and unobstructed before placement.
  • 3. Stacking Logic (T-Stacking) Build a solid base using heavier packages. Stack left-to-right with tight walls. Use lighter packages to lock rows and eliminate gaps.
  • 4. Load Stability Avoid chimneys and vertical voids. Distribute weight evenly to prevent shifting during transport.
  • 5. Maintain Egress Paths Keep exit paths clear at all times. Never block doorways or emergency access points while loading.
  • 6. Ergonomic Awareness Adjust stance and position frequently. Do not twist while lifting—pivot with feet to reduce strain.
  • 7. Pace & Accuracy Maintain a steady workflow without rushing. Accuracy and stability take priority over speed.
  • 8. Final Check Verify container integrity, load stability, and scan completion before closing the ULD or trailer.
